While you are welcome to fully participate within the life of the congregation whether you are a member or not, many wish to make a formal commitment to membership.
We encourage everyone to worship regularly; to grow in their faith by participating in small fellowship or outreach groups, classes, or other opportunities; to serve God with their hands by serving both in the church and in the world; and to give in proportion to their gifts.
Becoming a member is a public acknowledgment that this is your household of faith—the community that you covenant to love, uphold, serve, and shape and by whom you are willing to be shaped and sent forth to serve. Membership is required to serve as an Officer, Committee chair or Deacon.
If you are interested in uniting with our church, please speak with our pastor or a member of the Membership Committee. Several times a year we offer a PRCC Information Gathering session to introduce you to the many ministries and programs available. Our hope is that this will be a learning process for you, allowing you to identify where your gifts might be best utilized.
Attendees are invited to consider becoming members during the next Membership Sunday Service. Those interested will be invited to come forward during that service with other new members and respond to the membership liturgy. It will then time for the entire congregation to welcome you to our church family. A New Members' Reception follows the service.
