Youth International Mission Trip - Bahamas

June 8 - June 14, 2024

We are excited to partner with PRAYING PELICAN MISSIONS for the 2024 Youth Mission Trip! PPM has been serving around the world for over 20 years! Our team of 53 youth and chaperones will be travelling to the Bahamas in June to help serve the people there and help foster a sense of greater community with our church youth and with the Bahamas community!

- Play and interact with children of community

- Learn how to make native meals from residents and deliver to those in need or homebound

- Work on manual labor projects in schools, churches, and homes (framing, home repairs, painting, etc)

Participants will be able to pick which projects they would like to serve!

They can do all or decide to focus on one project!

How can you help?

Our goal is to fundraise $27,000!

Fundraising will help to lower the cost for each of our mission trip participants! PRCC will host a Bahama Blast Fundraiser Event on March 3rd at 3 pm that will include a silent auction, live reggae music, and delicious Bahamian Hors d'oeuvres. The event is free to attend!

There are four ways you can support our Youth in the Bahamas:

  1. Monetary Support: You can make a monetary donation to help support this important mission by clicking the donate button below and selection "International Mission Trip" from the fund drop down.
  2. Donate to our Silent Auction: We will need items to sell at our Bahama Blast silent auction. If you are interested in donating an item or a service, you can click the give to silent auction button below and fill out the form!
  3. Attend our Bahama Blast party and silent auction! Come support our youth at this FREE FUNdraiser event! You can register to attend by clicking the "register" button below.
  4. Pray for Us! Keep our Youth and Chaperones in your prayers as they prepare for the trip, travel abroad, and learn what a gift it is to serve others.

Every Sunday 11:30 am - 1:00 pm

Purpose:  A Christian community for youth to belong, building supportive and meaningful relationships through social activities, service projects, and discussing relevant topics.

Youth Group is our social ministry for middle school and high school youth. We gather weekly on Sundays from 11:30-1:00 with occasional social gatherings and trips beyond the church building. All are always welcome!

Sundays after the 10:00 am Service Children's Message

Purpose: A place to encounter, engage, and respond.

All youth are invited to Sunday School following the Children’s Message during the 10:00am Worship Services. Through the “Re:form” curriculum from Sparkhouse, youth watch a short video and engage in discussion, while enjoying donuts! Youth gather each week with the exception of the first Sunday of the month. On the first Sunday, youth remain in worship to partake in Holy Communion.

Meets Monthly

Purpose: Discover individual leadership styles, how to collaborate with others, and utilize gifts through biblical leadership examples, team building activities, and spiritual gifts assessments.

Currently, Youth Lead meets monthly and is incorporated into the Youth Group schedule.

Two-Year Program

Purpose: Elevate familiar Christian concepts into personal understanding and develop an ownership and commitment to grow in faith as a member of Park Ridge Community Church.

PRCC offers a two-year program for students’ in 7th grade and up to consider doctrine, theology, practical faith, and membership. Interspersed with these foundational studies, guest speakers discuss their personal life experiences, faith traditions, outreach, and service.

Confirmation reminds us of our baptism and God's presence in our lives: we respond by affirming that we belong to Christ and the whole People of God. Currently, the class meets for four intensive sessions throughout the school year.
