Our Fundraising Goal: $1.5M
Envision a church with historical charm with updated, energy-efficient, accessible facilities. Envision sustaining and creating a place that supports and inspires our faith today and tomorrow.
Envision:
- Sacred Spaces: A Sanctuary overflowing with thoughtful words and inspiring music, where community gathers
- Classrooms: echoing Bible stories and asking honest questions, where faith is formed and deepened at every age and stage
- Bathrooms: updated to be comfortable and accessible for all
- Gathering spaces: where meals are shared, celebrations abound, and connections are constant
THE GOAL: To raise $728K for building needs on the horizon including securing the internal structure of the steeple, replacing elevator hydraulics, making spaces more accessible, interior painting, AND MORE!

I feel truly blessed to be part of PRCC’s Trustee Team!
Serving in this ministry has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. While our work focuses on caring
for the building, I believe we are really caring for everyone who gathers within these hallowed walls and on our beautiful grounds.
I am just one of ten very dedicated individuals who help
maintain our beloved church space. From the moment I joined this group of volunteers, I’ve been inspired by their thoughtful leadership and unwavering commitment to service.
This year has been especially busy for PRCC. Our projects are assigned according to each trustee’s interest, capability, and availability. And while I was assigned to gather bids for a leak in the roof… We began addressing storm damage to the roof, additional
concerns were discovered. To our surprise, a full roof and gutter replacement was required. Because of overlapping needs, and cost efficiency, we made the decision to move up the steeple restoration project—originally scheduled for 2030.
I am humbled to be entrusted with this project and give thanks to God for the safety of all the workers, as well as the skilled coordination and workmanship of both contractors and volunteers. I have not been alone in this work! I have been deeply moved by the generosity, encouragement, and expertise offered by so many in this “Renewing God’s House” effort.
When the scaffolding comes down, it will be a true celebration of teamwork, faith, and dedication to preserving this special place
for generations to come.

- Connecting people, including those who might be ostracized or forgotten,
- Serving those who are in need,
- Educating all generations about integrating faith into real life,
- Supporting and challenging ourselves and our neighbors.
THE GOAL: $500K to be invested to fund future ministries including funding the Angel Fund, Disaster Response, Scholarships, Youth and Children programs AND MORE!

The unique experiences helped me to grow and reflect on life outside of Park Ridge. I learned new skills that gave me a greater sense of fulfillment through the ups and downs of high school.
These trips showed me the world’s needs, the impact one life can make, and the importance of community.
They also helped confirm my beliefs while deepening my faith by understanding other people’s closeness to God.
I had fun, met new people, built cross-generational friendships all while becoming more connected to our church community.

Those who are a part of the Park Ridge Community Church today benefit from the faithful legacies of those who have come before. The impact of past generations on the future generations is a beautiful gift of possibility and hope, knowing that there is more ministry to accomplish than can happen in one's own lifetime.
ENVISION
- A team that educates and assists donors in leaving financial gifts to be used for the future needs of the church
- Gifts given out of generosity and faith to provide for those who come after
- An enduring spirit of the church who desires an ongoing commitment to loving God and loving our neighbors so much that the WORLD is better because of our tenacious love!
THE GOAL: to increase the Endowment Fund to at least $1M in the bank, the interest of which is available for the congregation's needs in the future. This foundation secures a future for generations to come!

WHAT DOES PARK RIDGE COMMUNITY CHURCH MEAN TO BILL & BARBARA ?
For many years, PRCC has been a part of the fabric of our families. Bill’s grandparents, George and Katherine Scharringhausen, joined this church in 1924. Barbara’s parents, Al and Mary Isaacs, joined in the 1920s as well.
Barbara was confirmed here and we were married here in 1957. Our kids, Kent and Kim were baptized and confirmed here, and Kim’s boys were baptized here.
These generations of families have been served at one time or another, by Orvis Jordan, George Greene, Tom Maurer, Doug Runnels, Paris Donehoo, Brett McCleneghan, Carol Hill, Mollie Foster, and many others.
Through our participation in our many areas of ministry and service, although now somewhat limited, we hope to continue to weave more of
that fabric. The challenge for years to come is for other church families - current and new, Moms, Dads, Kids, Partners, Singles - to step up so that the next many years of their support and participation will result in an even stronger Park Ridge Community Church, serving God,
each other, and our community.

Our first initiative to invite congregation-wide support of this capital campaign is to dedicate a pew (in the Sanctuary and/or Chapel) in honor, memory of a loved one OR simply to the glory of God. All the proceeds will benefit the Envision campaign, building the foundation for the future - the endowment, building and ministry needs. Each pew dedication is $500.
