Loving Lunches

PRCC is pleased to support our partner and local non-profit organization Loving Lunches.

Each month PRCC assists Loving Lunches by preparing 160 lunches that will be delivered to those experiencing homelessness and food insecurity in the Chicagoland area. Volunteers are needed monthly to assist with preparing and packaging meals and making kindness cards that are placed into each lunch bag. Volunteers of all ages are welcome; however, kids under 13 must be accompanied by an adult. In addition to in-person volunteers, supporting the cost to supply these meals is greatly appreciated!

Items Needed:

Non-perishables

juice boxes, protein or granola bars, individually packaged chips, individually packaged cookies, ziplock sandwich size bags

*Drop non-perishable items in PRCC's Auxiliary Kitchen and mark them Loving Lunches

Monetary and gift card donations

These donations are especially welcome to supply Loving Lunches with essential perishable items of bread, lunch meat and cheese for sandwiches, as well as fresh fruit.

*Drop/send a donation to the PRCC office in person, by check or Zelle with the words Loving Lunches in the memo section.

We look forward to serving alongside you as we support our brothers and sisters in need!

More about Loving Lunches

Loving Lunches is an in-house charity that is dedicated to making lunches for Chicagoland’s homeless population in need of a meal. The Loving Lunches initiative was found by AMA Academy of Performing Arts founder, Ann Marie Frank and her sister, Chris Depaepe, as a way to give back to her community during the uncertain times of the Covid-19 pandemic. Lunches are delivered every Monday directly to the homeless and we make 300+ lunches, delivered twice a week! They have made over 15,000 lunches since April of 2020 with the help of countless volunteers. In every lunch, they add a handmade Kindness card to include with sayings such as “You Matter” or “We Love You” to show we care. Many of our Kindness cards are made by students and members of our community! CLICK HERE to read more!
