Pastoral Care

Our pastors are available to meet with people to talk about matters of personal concern. Please contact one of them if you would like to set aside a time to speak with them personally about any matter. All conversations are kept in the strictest confidence. Please understand that they are not equipped for long-term clinical psychological care, but have resources available to them in order to make proper referrals as necessary.

Many people looking for a listening ear turn to our Stephen Ministry program which provides one-to-one Christian care to those in crisis. Stephen Ministers are trained care givers who visit with a care receiver and listen without judging. Stephen Ministry is confidential ministry. Those receiving care are secure in knowing that their identity and what goes on in the caring relationship remains private. Please visit our Stephen Ministry web page for further information about the program.

Additionally, we have several Support Team volunteers available to assist with various needs.  Whether it be making and delivering a meal or giving you a ride when you are not able to drive, we have volunteers ready to assist.  For more information, visit the support team section of our website.

Pastoral Visitations and Appointments
Our Pastoral staff makes regular visits to homes, hospitals, and nursing homes. Please be aware, hospitals no longer notify churches when a member is admitted because of the patient’s right to privacy. Consequently, our pastors and church members often do not know when someone from the church is ill or confined to a hospital, nursing home, or private residence. Therefore, IF YOU ARE ILL OR CONFINED TO A HOSPITAL, NURSING HOME, OR HOME, PLEASE CONTACT THE CHURCH OFFICE at 847.823.3164 or email us to let us know. We will then be able to plan a visitation and keep you in our prayers.
